Current Getting Ahead Graduates
Case Management
The Caring Place provides case management by walking alongside our neighbors as they pursue goals for stability. For many, stability means more than financial planning or one-time assistance. We seek to holistically address barriers by increasing access to economic stability, education, food, healthcare, safety, and social support.

Community Social Work
Our Community Social Worker provides professional case management services by appointment. Services include but are not limited to:
- Referrals to other agencies in the community
- Short and long-term stability planning through collaborative goal planning and setting
- Financial assistance as funding allows. Each case is unique and specific documentation related to the request will be required.
Getting Ahead
Getting Ahead is a 16-week program that provides neighbors with the opportunity to investigate poverty and develop a “Getting Ahead” stability plan within a group context. Participants can earn $25 per session and receive up to $1000 for housing stability. Graduates are provided resources to stay ahead through ongoing case management with our Getting Ahead Program Coordinator.
Empowerment Hub Workshops
Our Empowerment Hub Workshops provide our neighbors with learning opportunities provided by trusted professional from our community. Previous workshops have covered topics such as budgeting, parenting, homebuyer education, affordable housing, and more.
Topics and times vary throughout the year and availability of our partners.

Access Home
Our Access Home Program is administered by the Community Social Worker. This program provides case management and financial assistance for housing stability on a case-by-case basis to eligible individuals. This program partners with the Tennessee Housing Development Agency to provide Emergency Rental Assistance Eviction Prevention Services. Ready To Work
The Ready to Work program provides items such as non-slip shoes, steel-toed boots, and scrubs that are often needed before beginning new employment.
