The Caring Place is only able to accomplish what we do because of our volunteers. Each day we open we use a minimum of 20 volunteers. Since we open five times per week, we must have 100 volunteers each week to run effectively. That is 100 caring people who change lives. They accomplish this in various ways, some which are:

• Sorting Clothing
• Receiving Donations
• Registering clients to determine eligibility
• Receiving, sorting and stocking shelves with donated food
• Packing a variety of nutritious foods into paper bag
• Monitoring the lobby and maintaining the flow of clients from the waiting
• Cutting the lawn and trimming
• Picking up food from Chattanooga Area Food Bank, local churches and supporting businesses
