Executive Director, Reba Terry MSSW, LCSWReba Terry became the executive director at The Caring Place in April 2005. She brought ten years of social work experience with her, having practiced in various settings where she served society’s disenfranchised. Reba received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee and a master’s degree in social work from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She is a licensed clinical social worker. Her rich work history serves as a great background for directing the day-to-day aspects of this non-profit organization.Reba is also involved in her church and community. She serves on several councils and boards in an effort to make a difference in her sphere of influence.Reba married Herb, the love of her life, 35 years ago. They have four children and six grandchildren. |

Christin Ownby formerly served as intern at The Caring Place. After graduating and getting married Christin and her husband moved and she worked as a social worker in a substance abuse clinic. Upon moving back to Cleveland she began volunteering at The Caring Place and was a great fit when the social work position opened.

Administrative Assistant, Julie Jones Julie Jones is the Administrative Assistant for The Caring Place. A Lee College graduate, she moved to Cleveland in 1986 where she met her husband Kevin Jones. She is the proud mother of two daughters and is a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church where she teaches inductive bible study.After graduating from Lee College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she spent several years working in the field of social services before going into business administration. Julie worked for the purchasing departments of Maytag Customer Service and Maytag Cleveland Cooking until 1997. After six years as a stay-at-home mom she re-entered the work force via Cleveland City Schools and then the Bradley Baptist Association. In 2006, combining her business skills and social services experience, Julie became the Administrative Assistant for The Caring Place.”That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word,” Isaiah 50:4 is Julie’s life verse. She enjoys working at The Caring Place where she can incorporate God-given skills with her desire to help the hurting. |

Volunteer Manager, Terri Williams Terri Williams is the Volunteer Manager of The Caring Place. She moved to Cleveland 23 years ago from Atlanta, GA. She worked as a stay at home mom until re-entering the workforce in 1990 with Advanced Photographic Solutions. Terri was previously employed as the Student Tutor and Volunteer Coordinator for the Learning Center for Adults and Families for 11 years. She is a Certified Volunteer Manager and a Certified Pro-Literacy Volunteer Trainer.Terri has volunteered as: a literacy tutor, on the Board of Directors of Opportunity for Adult Reading, a youth director, a Sunday school teacher, with the altar guild. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, The Caring Place, and Habitat for Humanity. She has been married for 39 years and has two adult daughters and one beautiful grandson Elisha. Terri and her husband attend First Lutheran Church of Cleveland. Terri is quoted as saying, “I see the “love of Christ” shared at the Caring Place and it is such a blessing.” |

Food Warehouse Team Leader, Sheila McElhaney Sheila McElhaney has been the team Leader of the food Warehouse for over a year. Starting out as a volunteer, Sheila worked in the clothing area and as a registrar for four years before joining the staff. She and her husband David have two grown sons Justin and Jared. As an active member of Westmore Church of God, she enjoys singing with the sanctuary choir. The highlight of her ministry at church is working with teens. They help keep her young at heart. Being a cancer survivor, she has trusted the scripture, 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your care on Him for He cares for you.” |

Resource Developer, Christy RitzhauptChristy Ritzhaupt began volunteering at the Caring Place in January of 2010. She has a Bachelors Degree in Music Therapy from Tennessee Technological University. Her previous work experience includes marketing, social work with the elderly, and educating children. Christy enjoys the Caring Place because it gives her the ”opportunity to step outside of my life and strive to be the Christian God wants me to be.”She is married to Shannon Ritzhaupt and has two sons, Jackson and Anderson. After re-locating to their home town in 2003, they opened Café Roma in down town Cleveland. Christy and her familiy are members of First United Methodist Church and are involved in the many activities there. The Ritzhaupts enjoy the times the family is all together spending time in the water boating or swimming. |
