Secluded Haven
The Eastern Whitetail Deer with her fawn pauses to drink from the pool beneath the falls on Spruce Flats Branch where it enters the middle prong of Little River in the mountains of North Carolina. It brings to mind the words of Psalm 42:1, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you O God.”
About The Artist – David S. Bishop
David Bishop has been a licensed minister in the Church of God for more than 50 years. He has served as an evangelist, Bible college professor, pastor and Executive Council member for his denomination. Because he wishes to seize every opportunity to communicate a biblical message, many works carry a Scripture reference to go along with the theme of the painting. His grandest desire is that his work might so reflect the world about him as to bring honor to God the Creator of all things. To him this would be the ultimate fulfillment as an artist.
